This has been a long time in the works. As many may know, I'm big into photographing abandoned buildings. So many people have been after me to launch a site, dedicated to this body of my photo work. Well, it's finally in the works! I'll keep ya'll posted as to it's official launch. Yeah, it'll be soon.

Also, my brother Larry has put together my new blog. It'll be up real soon at a new home and with a fresh new look! I'll keep all ya'll blog snoopers posted in the next few days.


Something blue...

Well, something white. My first ever wedding showcase was tonight at the Fox Cities Performing Art Center! I got to meet a ton of cool couples. So many people gave up some very inspring words about my wedding photography. Small show and the turn-out was iffy due to the cold weather, but it was very awesome to talk to everybody. Big thanks and hugs to Matt and Melanie for being such a huge, huge help. I'll get some of Matt's photos of the booth up soon!

I got out tonight to play around with my new lighting rig. Matt and I spent some time down at the Smoke Shop, toying around with my gear. Both Matt and Adrienne are great subjects as always. Ye Enjoyith...

New Toys, a Free Photo Shoot, and Wedding Shows!

I love new toys. For me, they come few and very far between. But only when the necessity arises, do I make the purchase. I don't like useless garbage collecting dust in my house. The result of testing my gear, is usually my timeless knack for making self portraits in my basement.



As with any new camera gear, I'd like to try it out in a real on-location shooting situation. If you are interested in a free two hour shoot so I can try out my new set-up, hit me up with an email at dave@davidejackson.com. I'll only shoot here in Appleton on Monday, January 29th at 4:00pm sharp. No promises on amount of photos and locations in which they are shot, as I'll be working out some bugs and learning as we go. Since it's at no cost, I'm looking for people with a ton of energy and are ready to make some crazy photos. Who knows, this could be a ton of fun.

Melanie and I have been really busy putting the finishing touches on our two upcoming wedding shows here in Appleton. We're really looking forward to both events, as they are our very first shows ever. Feel free to stop in at both shows, peep my work and say hi! Details below.

Brianna in A-Town!

Brianna was very cool. Even in the photos, she was...well, cold. Temperature-wise. They made the trip up to Appleton in the frigid cool, and stuck with it the whole time.
